FAQ

  1. ALL FIRST SESSIONS ARE FREE AND ARE A TASTER SESSION, AFTER THAT YOU MAY PAY £6 WEEKLY OR PAY FOR A GROUP OF 6 SESSIONS AT £30, THEREFORE ONLY £5 A SESSION.  THEY DO NOT NEED TO BE USED CONSECUTIVELY. 
  2. PLEASE CHECK THE WEBSITE IF YOU HAVE ANY WORRIES ABOUT A CLASS BEING CANCELLED DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS. 
  3. CLOTHING: DRESS FOR DOING EXERCISE OUTDOORS I.E. LAYERS, LONG TROUSERS/JOGGING BOTTOMS/EXERCISE LEGGINGS IN WINTER, SHORTS IN SUMMER.  A WATERPROOF IS A GOOD IDEA, PLUS HAT AND THIN GLOVES FOR REALLY COLD WEATHER.  SHOES SHOULD BE TRAINERS OR WALKING BOOTS (ALTHOUGH NOT TOO RIGID), BE WARNED THEY MAY GET MUDDY! 
  4. YOU WILL BE LOANED LEKI POLES THAT CAN BE ADJUSTED TO SUIT YOUR HEIGHT.  THEY ARE FITTED WITH A HAND STRAP AND THEREFORE THICK GLOVES MAY NOT BE COMFORTABLE. 
  5. I WILL BE CARRYING A RUCKSACK CONTAINING A FIRST AID KIT, MOBILE PHONE AND A DRINK.  YOU MAY WISH TO BRING A SMALL RUCKSACK OR BUMBAG FOR A DRINK AND TO PUT YOUR LAYERS IN WHEN YOU GET TOO HOT! 
  6. THERE WILL BE AN OPTION FOR YOU TO WEAR A HEART RATE MONITOR TO RECORD HOW HARD YOUR HEART IS WORKING AND YOUR TOTAL CALORIE EXPENDITURE FOR THE SESSION! 
  7. THE CLASS WILL BE BROKEN INTO SECTIONS BASICALLY TO INCLUDE, WARM-UP, TECHNIQUE, WALK, FITNESS EXERCISES AND COOL DOWN. 
  8. BAD KNEES? JOINTS? NECK OR BACK ACHE?  DON'T WORRY THE LOAD ON YOUR KNEES IS DECREASED BECAUSE OF THE USE OF THE POLES AND THE INCREASED USE OF THE UPPER BODY MUSCLES.  KEEP COMING BECAUSE THE MOTION OF USING THE POLES STRENGTHENS THE SHOULDER AND BACK MUSCLES WHICH WILL IN TURN REDUCE NECK AND SHOULDER TENSION.
